Vineyard Martin Waßmer

The Waßmer vineyard in Baden is especially known for world class reds and white wines from pinot grapes. The philosophy of Waßmer: "The secret behind making a unique wine is humbleness and love, passion and dedication as well as giving attention and care to the soils, vines and grapes."

Waßmer’s vineyards are based in the Markgräflerland. Because of its mild climate and the rolling hills, the area is called “German Tuscany”. Winemaking has 1000 years of tradition in this area. Waßmer’s best wines origin from steep slopes and very old vines. Waßmer ensures a strict reduction of yields and long hang times, resulting in world class wines. 

Waßmer's wines are aged in the Burgundy style and tradition, resulting in wines of similar quality and character. All red wines age in wooden casks. The premium wines profit from ageing in precious Barriques. Waßmer’s wines can age for many years.
